So What's This Site All About?
Shifts in strategy are the hardest in the high school. The difficulty all starts with the fact high school teachers are incredibly busy. The content is more intense, they have more students, the assignments are more intense (which means they take longer to grade), and most teachers are involved in some type of extracurricular activity. On top of all that, most high school teachers think they "have to get kids ready for college" which really means their class can devolve into an endless cycle of lectures. The goal of this site is to change all of that. We want to give high school teachers a one-stop shop to learn about blended learning, to help develop a blended process, to access blended resources, to collaborate, and to learn that even colleges and universities are on their way to change. High School teachers tend to make changes at the semester breaks, so the hope is that this can become the community that facilitates change even when they are not at school!
